Irene died peacefully with her children at her side on 21st September 2022, aged 71. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will always be in our hearts. 

Irene loved animals and had several dogs during her life (including, at one point, ten golden retriever puppies). She even requested her ashes be scattered with those of her last dog, Freddie. Irene regularly donated to Hillside Animal Sanctuary to support they work they do, and we know she would have appreciated any donations in her memory from friends and family.
