Dennis died unexpectedly aged 94 on 17 May 2026. He and his late wife Maureen donated to many animal charities over the years including Hillside. In his younger years he worked for one, rehoming dogs. He and Maureen had many rescue dogs over the years, the last being his beloved Roxy (in picture). He would also buy family “gifts in lieu” from Hillside, such as bales of hay, for Christmas. Therefore, his family have chosen Hillside out of the many charities he supported, for donations to be given in his memory, if desired.
