Photography has changed my life.  As an autistic person, it gave me a way to express myself and connect with the world when words weren’t always easy.  I have always been determined to use my work for good, raising more than £65,000 for good causes including  animal and autism charities and projects.  I’m incredibly proud to continue that journey by donating three of my horse prints to Hillside Animal Sanctuary where I have worked since 2022, with every penny raised going towards helping the animals in our care.

Horses have always had a special place in my heart, and my own experiences attending equine therapy centres during some difficult years at school and now working alongside rescued horses at Hillside have shown me just how extraordinary these animals are.  They feel, they trust, they remember - and sadly, many arrive with us having experienced a world that has failed them. Hillside gives them something every animal deserves: safety, compassion and a chance to simply be themselves.

I’ve always believed that photography should have a purpose beyond the photograph itself. If one of my images can help give a rescued horse a better life, then that photograph has achieved something far more meaningful than I could ever have hoped for. I’m honoured to play a small part in Hillside’s incredible work.
