Valerie was a much loved wife, mum and sister who will be sorely missed every day. She was the centre of the family and are grateful to have such a wonderful person as our mum.  She was kind and compassionate and had a real love of nature and animals supporting several charities. In lockdown Valerie took up painting and demonstrated a natural talent, her favourite thing to paint was flowers and animals.  Sadly Valerie died after a short illness on Christmas Day she would always buy some of her Christmas gifts from Hillside and we as a family know that she would love the idea of supporting this Sanctuary. Valerie loved that Hillside rescued all animals in need and gave the animals in their care a loving and safe home for life.
