In Loving Memory of Rosie and Holly...

Description

Holly was a black and tan Standard long haired Dachshund who we had from 4 months old.  She was a lovely girl, she loved people and other dogs alike and was very easy going and just wanted to be around us.  She had a long, healthy life of almost 13 years, but sadly passed away in December 2019 of a heart attack.  We miss her so much. XX

Our dear Rosie was a Standard shaded red long haired Dachshund.  She and Holly were the best of friends and loved each other dearly, including our cat Hugo who often used to sleep in the same basket with them.  We had Rosie from 5 months old.  She was so beautiful, the colour of Autumn.  She was so loving and had a special bond with me, loving to lie against me on the sofa in the evenings, if I sighed, she would sigh.  She could sense exactly how I was feeling and would offer a paw when she knew if I was sad.  She was a very special girl.  Unfortunately, Rosie was only 6 when she passed away in May 2021.  She developed severe and painful back problems, which is something that Dachshunds can suffer with.  We had to make the sad decision to put her to sleep as she was crying out in pain and towards the end couldn’t even stand.  I miss her every day XX
