Robbie lived a rich, varied and very full 96 years. Almost 60 years at the side of his wife and 80 with animals by his side.

He loved all animals, especially dogs. He homed and lovingly cared for sixteen dogs over his lifetime. Most of them rescues and they all adored him. His nickname within the family was the ‘Doggie Lama’. There were also seven cats, two parakeets, a mynah bird and a parrot who only spoke to him.

Robbie supported many animal charities but his favourite was Hillside who he supported almost from its inception.
