During COVID lockdown in Wales, Maureen was nominated for recognition by her community, as she spent her days tending to her garden, to keep it looking at its best, and her kind words and conversation to passersby, as they walked their dogs, was a great support to them. 

Maureen had dedicated her life to helping others and caring for animals, both near and far. Her legacy was to support those animals that were mistreated or in need of love and care. 

Maureen will be greatly missed by her family and community. Just 140 days from her 100th Birthday, Maureen went to sleep for the final time 29th October 2025.
