Marie Patricia Sexton known to family as Marie and friends as Pat, died on the 27th of August 2024. Much missed by all that knew her. With a great sense of humour and stubbornness, and a sharp tongue if riled, she was determined to be independent and end her days in her own home, this she achieved aged 93, leaving us unexpectedly and peacefully. 

A lifelong dog lover and carer for the natural world, especially its creatures, she loved to support animal charities and in particular Hillside. A huge fan of the late Monty she also adopted some of the horses and was delighted to receive updates on all the activity at the Sanctuary. 

It was often joked that if the dogs could have travelled on their own, they would have been enough, unfortunate that the human visitors were a necessity too!

Wherever she is now there is no doubt she is caring for animals and would be delighted for donations in her memory to go to Hillside.
