In Loving Memory of Geraldine Rowland...

Description

Geraldine Rowland was a multi-talented person with many recognised gifts. She was best known for decades of teaching piano and music theory. A prime joy of life was the raising and showing of her five Basenji dogs, but there had been six cats, a rabbit, and a dozen chickens before. She eagerly supported Hillside Sanctuary and about twelve other animal charities as well, here and abroad. Pleasures in this life meant teaching music, a passion for knowing about seeds, planting and raising of vegetables, a constant love of learning about health, medicine and explaining environmental issues. There was an enviable talent for easy communication with anyone and everyone on any level. Sunny Sundays were her special fun days for visiting our green field, exercising the dogs and where she could find rest and comfort by hugging the Mother Oak tree. Her talents, intelligence and always being ready to help others will be hard to find again. I shall continue to thank God for the fifty-four years of her being my wife.
