My mum, Brenda, was someone who put everyone else before herself. She was kind and compassionate towards all humans and animals. Throughout her life, Brenda campaigned for animal rights, was a strict vegan, and cared deeply for the planet. A long-time supporter of Hillside, I'll never forget how happy she was when we were able to visit in 2023 - she especially loved this little pig!

We had many pets over the years, most recently rabbits, that she adored. Velvet, her companion until the end, lived a wonderful life with Brenda for 12 years. Brenda will be sorely missed by me, my sister, her siblings, cousins, and many, many friends. She was the kind of person who’d stick with you, and I know she will be thoughtfully remembered by everyone who knew her.
