Update: Thank you for all of you kind support, we have now been able to purchase the land and have moved in!

 A wonderful opportunity has arisen for Hillside to purchase 33 acres of land, including several well-fenced paddocks and a stableyard comprising

twenty loose boxes. This will make a lovely home for some of our special-care horses, ponies, donkeys and other animals needing extra TLC. The buildings and grazing are in superb condition and ready for our rescued animals to move straight in.

Part of the purchase cost has already been covered by generous legacies which have been kindly left to safeguard the future of the animals in our care.   We cannot think of a more fitting and memorable way to put these bequests to good use. However, we also need to appeal to you, our loyal supporters, for help in reaching the total amount needed to acquire these wonderful facilities.

In order to buy the land and stables without having to rely on a loan, we need to raise an additional £147,000. The more we can raise, the less we will have to borrow which, in turn, lessens the impact on general Sanctuary funds.
