Left, you can see some of our horses who have just had their feet trimmed,  heading back to their field.   With over 2500 rescued horses, donkeys and ponies, that's in excess of 10,000 hooves to trim on average 4 times every year!!

Caring for the horses’ feet is so vitally important that we have six different farriers responsible for keeping them all in trim.  There’s an expression ‘No hoof, No horse’ and this is very true.  Regular attention to their hooves helps prevent lameness, keeping the animals comfortable and pain-free.

Although most of our horses require a basic trim, some require remedial shoeing to correct hoof defects thus allowing them to live a happy, healthy life.
